Rufous Turtle Dove in the Himalaya A compilation of bird species recorded in the Himalayan forests of Uttarakhand shows a variety of resident and mountain woodland birds in their natural habitats. Species visible include the male Kalij Pheasant (Lophura leucomelanos), Grey Wagtail (Motacilla cinerea), Blue Whistling Thrush (Myophonus caeruleus), Streaked Laughingthrush (Trochalopteron lineatum), and Grey Treepie (Dendrocitta formosae). Other birds featured are the Rufous Sibia (Heterophasia capistrata), Verditer Flycatcher (Eumyias thalassinus), Spotted Forktail (Enicurus maculatus), Great Barbet (Psilopogon virens), and Lesser Yellownape (Picus chlorolophus).
