The Pied Mynas seem to be oblivious of the maddening honking and the myna calls during sunset. A pair of Pied Myna or Asian Pied Starling (Gracupica contra or Sturnus contra contra) is seen sitting on top of a Banyan tree in Delhi during the monsoon. Pied Mynas are one of the common birds in urban areas. These birds feed on human refuse, discarded food. They are found in huge numbers and considered an invasive species. Notice the Mynas calling to each other while preening themselves.
