With its natter white and black tail, this Spotted Forktail dances as the monsoon rains come to the hills of the lower Himalaya. Monsoon blues is what this Spotted Forktail has, but it remains spunky beside our trout pond, on the prowl for water insects. What a natter bird the forktail is, with the demeanour and movements of a ballerina! The elegant tail is held high and periodically wiggled around to provide a nice contrasty black and white look!
