Spotted Forktail is a cute water bird that lives along fast flowing Himalayan streams, seen here at the wildfilmsindia Bindal - Rispana watershed protection forest Spotted Forktail literally has an elegant tail with two diverging tail streaming feathers, lives by water Spotted Forktails splash around and have a watery ball in the Bindal-Rispana stream between Mussoorie and Dehradun, in summer-time and during their breeding season. Wetting bunches of moss, they carry them back to line their nests with. The Spotted Forktail are back at our Motidhar stream to breed in the summer months, in the head waters of the Bindal - Rispana river. Preening and puffing up their feathers is this Forktail!
