Spotted Forktails splash around and have a watery ball in the Bindal-Rispana stream between Mussoorie and Dehradun, in summer-time and during their breeding season. Wetting bunches of moss, they carry them back to line their nests with. The Spotted Forktail are back at our Motidhar stream to breed in the summer months, in the head waters of the Bindal - Rispana river. Preening and puffing up their feathers is this Forktail! A pair of Spotted Forktails spotted along a Mussoorie stream in the wildfilmsindia sanctuary in Uttarakhand: An elegant stream-side resident that eats insects and pirouettes around the water and stones around a river, all day.
