This Golden backed Woodpecker is zygodactylic or in other words has two toes pointing in front and two pointing back, to give it better grip when climbing tree-trunks vertically! Thirsty, a Black-rumped Flameback Woodpecker shares the mini fountain from a leakage with Mynas, Jungle Babblers and a Five-striped Palm squirrel. The Jungle Babblers don't seem to be too happy to have this colourful bird at the waterhole. Meanwhile, a squirrel drops in for a quick drink. The woodpecker is seen drinking water up close.
