A Eurasian Jay (Garrulus glandarius), a native bird of the Indian Himalayas, observed in Jabarkhet, Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. Perched on a tree branch, the jay scans its surroundings before taking flight and descending to a nearby grassland area. After a brief stop on the ground, it flies again and settles on another tree. The bird's soft pinkish-brown plumage, striking blue-and-black barred wing patch, and distinctive black moustache stripe are visible during its movements. A member of the crow family (Corvidae), the Eurasian Jay is known for its intelligence, adaptability, and food-caching behavior. The video documents the bird's natural movement between woodland and open habitat within the Himalayan foothills.
