A Black Drongo (Dicrurus macrocercus) is perched on a thin tree branch in a natural setting in India. The bird is observed preening its wing feathers using its beak, a routine activity for feather maintenance. Its glossy black plumage and forked tail are clearly visible against the background. The drongo also displays tail wagging movements while remaining on the perch. This behaviour is associated with balance and communication in open habitats. Natural daylight highlights the bird’s form and subtle movements on the branch.
