This footage captures three distinct Himalayan bird species — the Ultramarine Flycatcher (Ficedula superciliaris), a Bulbul (commonly Pycnonotus leucogenys – Himalayan Bulbul), and a Drongo (often Dicrurus macrocercus – Black Drongo, or Dicrurus leucophaeus – Ashy Drongo in hill regions) — perched one by one on a tree branch in the forested foothills of the Himalayas. The Ultramarine Flycatcher (Ficedula superciliaris) is a small, brightly colored passerine known for the male’s striking deep blue upperparts and contrasting pale underparts during breeding season. It inhabits wooded slopes and montane forests, frequently sallying out to catch insects mid-air.
