Forest Fire Aftermath in Uttarakhand: Under storey shrubs burned to cinder, birds nests destroyed and oak trees burned from top to bottom. Even the taller pine trees have been affected and a lot of their pine needles have caught fire, on the ground and on the tree. A Himalayan forest altogether decimated by a fast burning forest fire alit as a greedy real estate ploy around Mussoorie.
