Two adorable Japanese Quail chicks resting together in a brooder at Wilderness Orchard. Covered in soft down and marked with distinctive brown and black stripes along their backs, these young chicks are only in the earliest stages of life. Their natural instinct to huddle closely together provides warmth, comfort, and a sense of security. The chicks are gathered around a shallow feeding dish filled with finely ground starter feed, specially formulated to support their rapid growth and development. Straw bedding provides insulation and a comfortable surface, while the warm orange glow of a heat lamp helps maintain the temperature essential for healthy chicks.
