Garhwal is the second division of Uttarakhand which is also called Dev Bhoomi or land of Gods. Garhwal is the source of Ganga and Yamuna river. The region is located in the Uttarakhand state of India. It is closer to Gangotri, one of the Hindu pilgrimage sites of Char Dham. The small town is perched at an elevation of 8600 ft above the sea level. The beautiful Harsil is still to be explored. Harsil is in the middle of the Kumaon Himalayas. Weather of Harsil stays pleasant throughout the year. The best time to visit Harsil starts from April and remain pleasant until June ends and September to November.
