A traditional harvest festival gathering is taking place in Harsil near the Gangotri region of the Indian Himalayas. Villagers are carrying a decorated devta palki (palanquin) during a ceremonial procession associated with local deity worship and seasonal agricultural traditions. Men and women are assembled together in an open village area while traditional drums and percussion instruments are played continuously during the event. Groups of villagers are performing regional folk dances in circular formations while holding each other in coordinated movements common to Himalayan community celebrations.
