Spotted Owlet pair or Athene brama nesting in the heart of Delhi city. All sleepy in the daytime, the owl shuts its eyes and narrowly keeps open little slits to keep track of the world, in its sleepy state. While nesting gets over in winter, owls often retain possession of their nest holes in order to remain in the same real estate for the next nesting season. The owl looks down angrily at a loud sound nearby! A Myna couple are calling away nearby and they would, in all likelihood, want to take over the nest-hole, but the Owls have a strong presence. A plane flying overhead causes the owl to look up to the source of the sound. The heat makes the owl stretch out its wings in an open stance...
