Filmed in the high mountain passes of the Himalayas, this rare footage captures a solitary Snow Leopard (Panthera uncia) performing its morning grooming ritual before moving through its rugged territory. Known as the “ghost of the mountains,” the snow leopard is perfectly adapted to the arid cold-desert ecosystem, where survival depends on stealth, awareness, and territorial control. In this sequence, the leopard carefully grooms its thick fur, an essential behavior for insulation and parasite control in extreme alpine conditions. The cat is then seen walking confidently across its domain, occasionally scent-marking rocks and paths to signal presence to other leopards.
