Wildlife encounter unfolds in the rugged mountains of the Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh, India, featuring one of the Himalayas' most iconic predator-prey relationships. Resting beneath a rocky ledge is a snow leopard family, consisting of a mother and her two cubs. Known as the “Ghost of the Mountains,” the snow leopard (Panthera uncia) is famed for its elusive nature and extraordinary camouflage, blending seamlessly into the rocky landscape with its pale grey coat and dark rosettes. Nearby, a Himalayan ibex (Capra sibirica hemalayanus) carefully navigates the steep, snow-covered mountainside. With its thick winter coat, muscular build, and impressive curved horns, the ibex is perfectly adapted to life at high altitudes, where it traverses cliffs and rocky slopes with remarkable agility
