At the edge of the Indian Thar desert in the Jaisalmer region, an old woman cuts Vilayati jeejar (Prosopis juliflora) twigs, covered in thorns as they are, to use as firewood kindling. A cute village girl sweeps outside her hut in Rajasthan, holding her sibling in her hands. She then heads out to the village well, water bowl in hand. Life in Jaisalmer is quiet and simple as we see in this clip. Children helping their mother doing the household works, and we can see water scarcity prevailing in the state of Rajasthan as children carrying utensils for fetching water. Jaisalmer nicknamed "The Golden city", is a town in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is located 575 kilometres (357 mi) west of the state capital Jaipur. It was once known as Jaisalmer state. The town stands on a ridge of yello
