A Shivalik Monsoon - a documentary film. An intimate look at the rather distinct identify of the Shivaliks as a mountain range in their own right. This documentary centers around the breeding of the beautiful Paradise Flycatcher (Terpsiphone paradisi), perhaps the most beautiful bird to be found in India. Filmed in a variety of situations in the forest and at the nest, we have used a new technique of remotely-operated cameras to ensure that the birds were not disturbed at the nest. One such cigar-shaped Flycam camera was located 22 feet up in a tree, on a set of boom poles, and operated from an even greater distance. This film has some first-time and rare footage.
