Cute little Whiskered Yuhina feeds wild yellow berries to its chicks

Are those hishalu or wild Himalayan raspberry that the Yuhina is feeding her chicks? The nest is concealed with moss and Erigeron daisies grow around it, even as a Himalayan Barbet creates a racket with its loud piercing calls. A Blue-throated Barbet also calls in the valley below our wildfilmsinida field wildlife station. Whiskered Yuhina (Yuhina flavicollis) feeds ripe hishaloo berries to its chicks waiting hungrily in their moss-lied nest in the bank of a hillside at our wildfilmsindia Motidhar estate. Found in the Himalaya, the Whiskered Yuhina belongs to the White-eye family and is a cute little bird with a mohawk. Even the chicks have tiny crests or mohawks developing!
