This footage captures a herd of impalas (Aepyceros melampus) grazing across the open grasslands of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya, set against the vast and iconic African savanna landscape. The impalas are seen calmly feeding on short grasses, their sleek, reddish-brown coats and lighter underbellies contrasting beautifully with the green plains. Impalas are highly agile antelopes, well known for their speed, alertness, and spectacular leaping ability, which helps them evade predators. Interspersed within the grazing scenes are brief jousting interactions between males, where they engage in controlled horn clashes. These displays are part of territorial behavior and dominance establishment, especially during breeding periods, and usually do not result in injury. Such interactions
