From antelopes, vultures, cheetahs and zebras to lions, rhinos and flamingos, the Mara's ecosystem supports an extraordinary diversity of wildlife. The Maasai Mara National Reserve is one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife ecosystems, where open savannahs, river crossings, and acacia-dotted plains support an extraordinary diversity of life. From herds of antelopes and zebras grazing across the grasslands to cheetahs scanning the horizon and vultures circling overhead, every corner of the Mara is alive with movement. Lions rest beneath the shade while rhinos roam protected regions of the reserve, and flamingos gather around nearby alkaline lakes in flashes of pink. The Mara is also home to the Great Migration, when millions of wildebeest and zebras move across the ecosystem in one of the plan
