This video captures a female Purple Sunbird (Cinnyris asiaticus) spotted inside Sudasari Desert National Park, part of the larger Desert National Park landscape in Rajasthan. Unlike the glossy males, the female Purple Sunbird displays subtle olive-brown plumage with a pale underside, perfectly adapted for camouflage in arid scrub and thorny vegetation. Seen actively moving between shrubs and flowering plants, she forages for nectar, small insects, and spiders, playing an important role in pollination and insect control within the fragile desert ecosystem.
