A flowering Red Silk-Cotton Tree in a wilderness area of New Delhi. The tree displays its characteristic bright red blossoms that bloom during the spring season before new leaves emerge. Bombax ceiba is native to Asia and is commonly known as the Semal tree across India. The nectar-rich flowers attract a variety of wildlife including insects and birds such as the Oriental White-eye visible in the scene. These flowering trees are an important seasonal food source for urban and forest bird species. The video documents wildlife activity around one of the most recognizable spring-blooming trees found in India.
