Electric poles submerged in monsoon flood waters introduce us to the agriculture rural landscape of Hoskote in Karnataka. Commercial and residential interests are clearly catching up in this erstwhile rural area, as urban centers spread outside their older bounds, in to adjacent farmlands. Notice the anicut or aqueduct passing to the side of the fields. See a blue tended construction labour camp outside the town where low cost labourers live and work from, in the towns around.
