The Wanderer butterflies were to be seen in great profusion on the flowering Horse Chestnut (Aesculus indica) trees and everything was warm, happy and well in our protected Himalayan forest! In May each year, thousands of Great Blackvein butterflies (Aporia agathon) descend on the blooms of the Himalayan Horse Chestnut (Aesculus indica) at the Wilderness Orchard and botanical gardens at Jabbarkhet, in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand.
