People living in hilly areas of rural India have to walk many miles to get water to drink or for the household but in Champawat of Uttarakhand where people easily get water supply. A resident of Champawat, Uttarakhand speaks about the water problem. He says, "Congress government have provided handpumps in the village now there is no rush for water." There was a scarcity of water due to the altitude of this place and there was one handpump in each village.
