What a lovely energetic sprightly bird the Plumbeous Water Redstart is, as it bobs its tail up and down, sitting by a gurgling clear mountain torrent, with brown rocks and white foamy froth from the fast flowing water... This nervous looking Plumbeous Redstart make with a twitching tail sits by a fast flowing stream near Mussoorie, on the Kempty Falls side to the west. This part of Mussoorie is far more moist and even has streams. The Redstart sits by the stream looking for insect prey for which it periodically dives out and even into the water like a Dipper. Never have we seen the blue plumage of this Redstart in such a clear and stark fashion than in this video! The Plumbeous Water Redstart (Rhyacornis fuliginosa) is a species of bird in the family Muscicapidae. It is found in South Asia
