Crack team of Delhi Police has stated that rumors about Monkey Man in New Delhi are just rumors. Rajeev Ranjan, Assistance Commissioner of Delhi Police speaks about the rumors of Monkey Man in New Delhi. He says, "We took help from different experts and investigated about these rumors and found that these are just rumors there is no connection with reality. The first incident was reported on 10th of May 2001 near Anand Vihar Police Station area. In the beginning, the incidents were less but then it reached crescendo then it was the height of this incident when the crack team was formed. These reports were coming from Ghaziabad and Noida and it was expected that incidents would happen in Delhi also because Delhi is near to those cities.
