By using mechanization, just a few Punjab farmers are able to clean paddy stubble from their fields and prevent the need to burn it, thus causing a pollution cloud haze over all of north India. Instead, they get bales of paddy hay which can be sold, used or consumed by dairy cattle. Even the rice grain sorting process if semi mechanized, making for scalable agriculture possibilities.
