Leaving behind a plume of diesel fumes, and adding to the noxious cloud of SPM and aerosols in the air of the northern Indian plains, this Ford tractor clears paddy stubble from the fields of Punjab, prior to the environmentally disastrous crop burning phenomenon. The paddy stubble is sold as cow feed whereas the obstinate stubble is burned to the ground, leading to a widespread air pollution inversion later over most of north India, in the month of November. This footage is part of the broadcast stock footage archive of Wilderness Films India Ltd., the largest collection of HD imagery from South Asia.
