Two adolescent Indian Peafowl (Pavo cristatus) preen and partially raise their tail feathers, practicing early display behaviour. The birds move through a grassy patch, occasionally reacting to the presence of Mynas nearby. In the background, a group of male and female peafowl forage across the ground, pecking for insects and other food. Subtle interactions occur as individuals maintain distance while feeding. The sequence shows both grooming and early-stage display alongside group foraging activity. Pavo cristatus is a large ground-dwelling bird native to the Indian subcontinent, commonly found in open forests, grasslands, and urban edges.
