A male Crimson Marsh Glider (Trithemis aurora) perched on a vertical twig at Wilderness Orchard, India. The dragonfly displays the vivid crimson-red abdomen characteristic of mature males of the species. Its transparent wings show reddish veins along with amber patches near the base of the hindwings. The thorax has a fine magenta-colored pruinescent coating, while the large compound eyes display reddish tones on the upper surface. Crimson Marsh Gliders are commonly found near ponds, marshes, gardens, and wetland habitats across the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. The footage documents the appearance and resting posture of a widespread freshwater-associated dragonfly species.
