The Crimson-tailed Marsh Hawk (Orthetrum pruinosum) is a striking dragonfly often seen flying low over stagnant ponds, muddy canals, and shallow wetlands. In your scene, it hovers above dirty canal water, quickly shifting from one spot to another as it searches for small insects. This rapid movement is a part of its natural hunting behavior, where it uses sharp vision and agile flight to catch prey mid-air.
