A herd of Blue sheep, also known as bharal (Pseudois nayaur), is seen grazing peacefully in the harsh yet breathtaking cold desert of Spiti Valley, Himachal Pradesh. This high-altitude Himalayan landscape is defined by arid terrain, sparse vegetation, rocky slopes, and scattered snow patches that remain even outside peak winter months. In the footage, the herd can be observed calmly feeding on the limited grasses and shrubs available in the valley floor before slowly moving toward nearby snow-covered areas in search of additional forage. Blue sheep are exceptionally adapted to life in rugged mountain ecosystems, using their agility and sure-footedness to navigate steep slopes and uneven ground with ease.
