No human - animal conflict here! Humans and wildlife clearly co-exist comfortably here in Spiti's Chicham village, as a herd of Ibex and Bharal or Blue Sheep have wandered right into the village agricultural fields. This is like a high altitude version of a Bishnoi community, as the villagers don't seem to mind the grazing in their fields. Quite an ideal scenario, especially since the villagers also now augment their income with wildlife tourism and home stay income. Dogs bark and chase off the Bharal at one point, and off their all go. Unusual to see Bharal and Ibex mixing so closely, as well!
