The sacred town of Nandprayag in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. Nestled within the rugged Garhwal Himalayas, Nandprayag is one of the revered Panch Prayag — the five holy river confluences of the Alaknanda River. The scene highlights the beautiful Sangam where the Nandakini River joins the Alaknanda River amidst rocky mountain terrain and deep Himalayan valleys. At the confluence stands the historic Nand Temple, associated with King Nanda, who according to legend performed a sacred yagna at this location.
