The open-air chairlift at Auli in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand, carries visitors above the mountain slopes. Passenger chairs hang from a continuous steel cable supported by tall lattice towers, crossing grassy hills with pine forests and mist-covered Himalayan ranges in the background. Another view features the covered terminal station, with its rust-coloured steel framework and blue support columns. Resort buildings, terraced fields and a snow-making pond are visible on the hillside below. During winter, the chairlift serves visitors to Auli’s ski area, while in other seasons it offers elevated views of the surrounding mountains. The footage captures the chairlift infrastructure and changing landscape of this Himalayan destination.
