A Red-breasted Flycatcher (Ficedula parva) bathing in a shallow puddle on the forest floor. The bird dips into the water and fluffs its feathers among fallen leaves and small twigs. Its soft grey-brown head and creamy underparts are visible without the rusty-red throat patch associated with breeding plumage. The Red-breasted Flycatcher breeds across parts of Europe and Central Asia and migrates south to the Indian subcontinent during winter. The footage captures the bird bathing and displaying its plumage in a woodland setting.
