An Indian palm squirrel (Funambulus palmarum) engaged in nest-building behaviour. The species is native to India and Sri Lanka and is commonly observed in both natural and urban environments. It collects grass and plant fibres, transporting them to construct or reinforce its nest structure. The squirrel is diurnal and highly agile, frequently seen moving quickly across trees, walls, and garden spaces during daylight hours.
