A panther faces off with various potential prey species in India. Some of them are much larger than the leopard and quite unmanageable. Otherwise they are manageable in size but swift in response. It is not easy being a leopard in India. Shrinking habitat, tiny prey base, a modest body size and numerous other challenges exist for it to keep its belly full! A mother nilgai tries to rescue its new-born calf from a leopard that has dragged it away into a bush, without much luck. But when a dog barks down a leopard, it simply loses nerve and slinks away! Truly contrasting reactions of this master feline predator... This dog strayed into a protected area at Jhalana reserve outside Jaipur in Rajasthan. It was not supposed to be there, for its own safety and that of the wildlife. The tourists are
