Snow-covered summit of Mt. Jaonli (also spelled Jonli), a prominent Himalayan peak located in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India. Rising to an elevation of approximately 6,632 meters (21,759 feet), the mountain is known for its sharp triangular profile and dramatic high-altitude scenery. The foreground features dense stands of dark Deodar (Himalayan Cedar) and other coniferous forests typical of the middle Himalayan ranges near Mussoorie and surrounding regions. Such landscapes are commonly visible from viewpoints and nature reserves around the lower Garhwal Himalayas. Towering above the forested slopes, Jaonli dominates the skyline with its snow-clad ridges and rugged alpine terrain.
