Competitive stages of the Raid de Himalaya turned even more interesting in the Suru Valley. With the tarmac vanishing, the track turned to an actual dirt track and the terrain became extremely challenging for the competitors. The vehicles raising ever bigger clouds of dust in the barren landscape made for a sight to watch. The 2015 edition of Raid de Himalaya , the highest rally raid in the world was held from 11th to 16th October and followed the route Shimla- Manali- Dalhousie-Srinagar- Rangdum- Padum-Rangdum- Srinagar over 6 legs.
