Braided river channel with multiple tributaries, channels and dis-tributaries! How green is my valley! One wonders if these green rice paddy fields will be turned into grotesque buildings with dhabas and hotels, homes for plains-people and locals alike, all in the form of unplanned rash and random developments, like the rest of the lower Uttarakhand hills. This green riverine valley is the home of extensive rice paddies, a lovely blue-green river, open spaces and the hills of Uttarakhand around. Located at the confluence of the Tons and Yamuna rivers, Kalsi is a lesser-known village near Paonta Sahib.
