It's a competition for survival every day for the birds here in Keoladeo National Park, Rajasthan. India's largest man-made wetland which houses over 300 bird species migratory and non-migratory. A crowd of Lesser Whistling Teal and a duo of turtles watch the showdown between two Great Cormorants (Phalacrocorax carbo) over a fish caught by one of them. When one finally manages to get the fish on land, it encounters half a dozen of his family and also a Grey Heron (Ardea cinerea). There are raptors waiting on the branches of the trees nearby the waterhole. Chased by a Grey Heron for the fish, the Cormorant goes back to the safer option of the water.
