In the 70s she was best known as the intrepid documentary filmmaker who covered the Bangladesh war for the NBC. But in the past two decades, the daredevil journalist in her has given way to a keen incisive writer who's forever searching for new insights into the country of her birth. Author of acclaimed works like Karma Cola, Raj and A River Sutra, US-based Indian writer Gita Mehta released her latest books Snakes and Ladders in the country this week.
