In 1970 she was popularly known as documentary film maker. She was one who filmed the Bangladesh war for NBC. Now-a-days she left journalism and coming up as an author. After writing Karma Cola, Raj and River Sutra, Gita Mehta is coming up with her new book 'Snakes and Ladders'. She says I wanted to write about post colonial view and my definition of post colonial is this is hat we are false and all. And any false that exist in India today we can no longer make excuses about historical reason. They are of are our own making. So I wanted to give a picture of modern India. Gita Mehta is a writer known, perhaps, more for her essays than her novels. She is also a documentary filmmaker and a journalist. These activities all share a focus on India, the country of her birth—its history, politics,
