So now we come to a special garhwali sweet dish. Just how there is a variety of sweets in India, Garhwal too houses a variety in this category of food. The garhwali sweet dish we are making today is Jhingore ki Kheer which is known as barnyard millet and it's declared as an International superfood. It is very good for jaundice and diabetes. First, we soak the millet in water for 15minutes and put a pan on the stove. Once the pan is hot put milk to the pan along with the soaked millet. Now add sugar to the pan as per your taste. Stir it at intervals while it cooks for about 20 to 25 minutes till it thickens. Ashu Jain runs a cafe called Hills-e-Ishq Cafe at Jabbarkhet bazaar in Mussoorie. Stop by for an authentic garhwali cuisine. This footage is part of the broadcast stock footage archive
