A Tailorbird (Orthotomus sutorius), a small and highly active songbird widely found across South and Southeast Asia. Known for its restless movements and sharp calls, the Tailorbird flits through bushes and garden shrubs in search of insects. What makes this species truly remarkable is its unique nest-building behavior—using plant fibers, spider silk, and soft materials, it sews the edges of broad leaves together to form a secure cradle where it raises its young. Common in Indian gardens, parks, forest edges, and scrublands, the Tailorbird thrives close to human habitation.
