Wild Asses in Little Rann of Kutch, Gujarat, India, running along the salt pans... Good shots of them loping around, chasing each other energetically, and cantering around the hot plains of the Kutch, in the summer heat of June, 2011. One ass seems to be nipping the derriere (aka ass) of the other ass, as it runs along behind it, even getting kicked in the face by the other ass! Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary also known as the Wild Ass Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Little Rann of Kutch in the Gujarat state of India. Spread over 4950+ square kilometers, it is the largest wildlife sanctuary in India. The wildlife sanctuary was established in 1972 and came under the Wildlife Protection Act of 1973.
