Three birds in a Himalayan mountain forest. In the first shot, a Yellow-crowned Woodpecker (Leiopicus mahrattensis) clings vertically to a dead tree trunk, showing its streaked grey-brown body, pointed bill, and bright orange-red crest. The second shot shows a Black-headed Jay (Garrulus lanceolatus) perched on a conifer branch, with its dark cap, pale throat and blue-and-black barred wing and tail feathers visible among the green needles. In the final shot, a Rufous Sibia (Heterophasia capistrata) rests on a lichen-covered branch, displaying its black crest and warm orange-brown plumage. The footage highlights the varied colours, markings and perching positions of birds found in Himalayan forests.
